| VET Student Loan Census Date
||The VET Student Loan Census Date is the last day you can submit your Request for Commonwealth Assistance form (to access a Commonwealth supported place or a VET Student Loan) or withdraw your enrolment without incurring a VET Student Loan debt. If you do not submit your form by the Census Date, you will not be eligible to access a VET Student Loan loan for that semester. The Census Date is 20% of the way through a semester and is noted on the AFTT website or you can ask at Reception. More at http://studyassist.gov.au
Note: The government applies a loan fee (20% of the tuition fees) to a VET Student Loan loan. It does not count towards your VET Student Loan limit.
Deferment or Withdrawal
By completing a Request for Deferral or Withdrawal Form available from Reception, students may apply to defer their studies in the event of an unforeseen circumstance or illness for a maximum period of two semesters. Applications for deferment are accepted at AFTT’s discretion after a student interview. International students can only defer their enrolment on compassionate or compelling circumstances and deferring, suspending or cancelling enrolment may affect your Student Visa.
