Consisting of 15 units of competency that cover everything from theatre and screen history, voice skills, audition skills, movement skills and even how to bump-out a production at the end of its run, Certificate IV in Theatre & Screen Performance is the ultimate introduction to a career in acting and performance.
Our tutors are all industry professionals, working across a broad section of the performing arts industry, and their training draws upon a diverse range of methodologies including the works of Stanislavski, Meyerhold, Adler, Strasberg, Chekhov and the Eric Morris complete acting system.
This highly tailored performance training is designed to develop a sense of play and exploration, spatial and sensory awareness, the breaking down of blocks and inhibitions, and developing students’ own unique expressions of themselves in a nurturing environment.
Certificate IV also develops your knowledge and understanding of current trends, milestones and the history of the performing arts industry in Australia. You will learn about the mechanics of building your career and understanding the role of agents, as well as how to create independent theatre, support networks and other promotional and career-building opportunities.
The course runs full-time over one semester or part-time over two semesters. Student who complete the certificate may wish to articulate into the Advanced Diploma program.
