AFTT Performance - Richard III

Richard III

Richard III Student Performance

Following the success of the house of York in the war of the roses, Edward IV is made king but his jealous and scheming brother Richard of Gloucester is determined to take the throne for himself. Plots are hatched, murders planned, lies are laid and traps are sprung, blood flows, rumours are rife and at the centre of it all is Richard his one aim – to gain the throne. Shakespeare’s classic tale of evil-doing is both dark, haunting and at time hilarious as Richard engages with the audience to tell them step by step how he plans to gain the crown.
