The Evolution of IFSS
In 2014, IFSS took collaboration and immersion that extra step by successfully co-locating the International Film School Sydney (IFSS) with the Actors College of Theatre and Television (ACTT) at our Holt Street, Surry Hill campus. Then in March 2016, we took it to an unprecedented level by merging these two elite schools to form the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television, AFTT - Australia’s most immersive contemporary creative arts Academy.
The unification of ACTT and IFSS into Australia’s leading creative arts academy is bold, brave and reality shifting. It opens up unparalleled opportunities for current and prospective students, together with staff and the broader community, to be the driving force behind this daring evolution.
To be ahead of the curve, we have to empower industry ready graduates with real-world understanding of their craft. By consolidating these two prestigious schools beneath one banner we will forge a comprehensive, more responsive institution that features all key disciplines of our industry – from cinematography to live event production, music theatre, acting for stage and screen, and screenwriting, directing and producing.
Rest assured that all future students will continue to learn and receive high levels of support from the same dedicated team of tutors, student recruitment advisors and administrators.
Information for all IFSS Graduates
All certifications issued under the IFSS banners are nationally recognised qualifications. The qualifications will remain apparent to any potential employees; the only difference is the trading name of the schools.
Our vocational courses are accredited courses through the Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA http://www.asqa.gov.au/). All our students would have created a Unique Student Identifier (USI - https://www.usi.gov.au/) and have individual access to their training records online.
