We are excited to announce that the Academy of Film, Theatre and Television (AFTT) is officially merging with our sister college, JMC Academy. Existing under the umbrella of JMC Academy since 2013, AFTT has enjoyed a strong history of working alongside JMC and together, have been able to provide a comprehensive scope of both Vocational and Higher Education programs for Australia’s future creative leaders.
Under the auspice of JMC, in 2021, we proudly offered AFTT’s first Bachelor of Creative Arts (Acting) Degree, delivered at the AFTT campus in Sydney, and the JMC Campuses in Melbourne and Brisbane. In order to provide AFTT’s growing student population with access to brand new state of the art facilities and more opportunities than ever to collaborate with JMC students on real world projects, in 2022, AFTT officially made the move to their new purpose-built space in JMC’s Ultimo campus. With the recent accolades AFTT received as a small training provider, it felt only natural for us to evolve collectively to provide an even higher quality of educational experience.
The entire AFTT team was excited to welcome students to our new home in Ultimo, where we have access to Sydney's growing creative and cultural precinct near Darling Harbour and the site of Australia’s inaugural SXSW conference coming this October. Together with our incredible staff and lecturers, we are looking forward to continuing to provide world class training and student support. Thank you to the entire AFTT community for helping to foster a brilliant institution, the foundations of which will forever be woven in the fabric and legacy of JMC.
