Campus Culture Week Has Come & Gone, Here's How It Went Down

From the 10th – 14th August, we hosted our most recent Campus Culture Week to promote and encourage the positive mental and physical health of our staff and students by reconnecting through recreation.

Our goal for Campus Culture Week has always been to spread as much positivity and kindness around to all our staff and students at AFTT, and this mission has become ever so prevalent during these trying times of 2020. We know it’s been a crazy year so any time you can take to unwind and practice some self care or wellness activities will help you get into the best possible head space to tackle the end of trimester and beyond.

We were so fortunate to have had an array of activites available throughout the week in a safe, socially distanced space. Students got the chance to enjoy some of AFTT's classic Culture Week options including a breakfast spread all week, explore their painting talent in a pop up art room, sharing songs to the AFTT Feelz Playlist and watching films created by our very own AFTT Students. Our furry friends came along for another 'Puppy Therapy' visit and we got a chance to say hello to Roo, Rom, Charlton and Fox as well.

This Cultue Week we also decided to get a bit creative and announce a Social Media Contest with a sweet little prize for the winner. We encouraged our emerging artists to start thinking about their social media platform and how promoting ourselves is an essential part of living in the digital world, so our challenge was simple - to post a creative picture or short video to Instagram with the hashtag #AFTT! A huge congratulations to our winner Alan Fang!
