Fee Assistance for Domestic students

Students have the option of paying tuition fees prior to the commencement of each semester or deferring payment through FEE-HELP or VET Student Loan (VSL).

Unless applying for FEE-HELP or VSL, tuition fees are due TWO (2) weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Payment for all fees is in Australian dollars and payment can be made by cash, credit card or cheque. Please contact us for the account information.

International Students

TUITION FEE REFUNDS POLICY

All students must provide written notice of their withdrawal or deferment on the relevant form available at Reception.

If a student withdraws/ defers after the course start date and prior to, or on the Census Date for a study period AFTT will repay to a student who is, or would be, entitled to FEE-HELP or VSL assistance, any tuition fees that he/ she may have paid for the semester No FEE-HELP or VSL debt will be incurred No refund of tuition fees
If a student withdraws/ defers after the AFTT Census Date for a study period No refund of that semester’s tuition fees
Refund of any tuition fee prepayment made for a semester not yet commenced
A  FEE-HELP or VSL debt will be incurred. Note: Deferment is not permitted after the Census Date, unless a special circumstances application is made to the Campus Manager. No refund of tuition fees
Census Date The Census Date is the last day you can submit your Request for Commonwealth Assistance form (to access a Commonwealth supported place or FEE-HELP or VSL) or withdraw your enrolment without incurring a FEE-HELP or VSL debt.  If you do not submit your form by the Census Date, you will not be eligible to access a FEE-HELP or VSL loan for that semester. The Census Date is 20% of the way through a semester and is noted on the AFTT website or you can ask at Reception. More at http://studyassist.gov.au 
Note: The government applies a loan fee (25% of the tuition fees for HE and 20% of the tuition fees for VSL) to a  FEE-HELP or VSL loan. It does not count towards your total loan limit.

Deferment or Withdrawal

By completing a Request for Deferral or Withdrawal Form available from Reception, students may apply to defer their studies in the event of an unforeseen circumstance or illness for a maximum period of two semesters. Applications for deferment are accepted at AFTT’s discretion after a student interview. International students can only defer their enrolment on compassionate or compelling circumstances and deferring, suspending or cancelling enrolment may affect your Student Visa.
