AFTT Acting students present Henry VI
Henry VI Part 3 opens in London's Parliament after the 1st Battle of St Albans. It is 1455, The War of the Roses has brought Britain to its knees, Henry's House of Lancaster (red rose) has lost to the House of York (white rose). Henry makes an oath with the Duke of York that he will relinquish the throne to the York line after his death, thereby disinheriting his son Prince Edward. In the succession of scenes in this final play of the trilogy we witness the see-sawing of reign between the two warring families, oaths made & broken, political & romantic intrigue, betrayals & the collateral damage & horrors of war for all citizens.
